These courses introduce the student to the Fundamentals of firearms safety, along with the skills necessary to properly handle a revolver and or semi-automatic pistol, rifle and shotgun. You will learn what firearms will do, what they won't do, and why they work the way they work. The hands-on training will start with Proper Stance and Grip, how to deploy the weapon, sight alignment, and sight picture and trigger control. Class will progress to rapid fire/combat shooting and multi-target drills with life-size paper silhouette targets. These are great classes whether you are a novice to the gun world or have experience shooting/carrying. These classes will also help you improve your accuracy and confidence to shoot well in a pressure situation. Our program is also great for the shooter who hasn’t been practicing on a regular basis. Lastly, these classes give the civilian shooter or the Law Enforcement professional a chance to practice real world shooting techniques, and use tactics such as double and triple taps, and drawing from the holster which are not allowed at most civilian ranges. These courses place the most emphasis on improving the shooter's ability to make decisions under stress and to make rapid multiple shots on both single and multiple targets at varying distances. Who Should Attend: These classes are designed for Concealed Handgun Licensees, private citizens, and Police Officers who wish to learn or practice the necessary tactics and techniques for self-defense shooting. What to Bring: These Items are required: Hearing & Eye protection, Hip or tactical holster for the Tactical Handgun class, Magazine pouch, 3 Pistol magazines (lots of reloading), Clothing suitable for the weather, Ball cap, Sunscreen, Bottled water (lots of water!!!!!!!), Hand towel, sack lunch. Willingness to learn new techniques and an open mind. If it's raining, we are still training.
